The Dutch Government set few requirements for bicycle lighting. Lighting may be mounted everywhere and except the color scheme nothing is required. It’s clear that this cannot guarantee the safety of the cyclist.

While bicycle mobility is still increasing every year, the number of accidents is also increasing. The number of accidents between dusk and dawn is in comparison to the total number of accidents high. Very important therefore, to protect the vulnerable cyclist as much as possible.
