How well does traffic from the rear see you?

It is important that you are seen well as a cyclist in the dark. But which requirements must the rear lighting meet? The rear light must be a red light, the lamp must shine straight backwards and the lighting should not flash. In general, the lighting is attached to the bike, but separate lights are also allowed.
